Jeannette A. Fleming

Mrs. Jeannette A. Fleming, 97, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Great Oaks Senior Living in Monroe, Georgia. Jeannette was born January 9, 1922 in Maysville, daughter of the late Joseph Albert Ariail and Elizabeth Garrison Ariail. She worked for many years as a pre-school teacher at Clairmont Hills Baptist Church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Marvin Fleming; and six siblings, including her twin sister. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda (John) Fleming-Lewis; sons, John P. (Joy) Fleming and Thomas Michael (Jennie) Fleming; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2019 in the Chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Lewis and Rev. Larry Burgess officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery in Maysville, Georgia at 2 p.m. on Friday.
