GRAHAM, Jerry Wayne –
Jerry Wayne Graham, age 56, of Lilburn, GA, lost his valiant battle with cancer on December 19, 2009. Jerry was retired from DeKalb County PPM, and was enjoying his free time bass fishing and spending long weekends in the Blue Ridge Mountains where his sister, Amanda, lives with her husband, Randy, and their three-year-old son, Rodney. There he would “fix” things around their log home, play with little Rodney and the dogs, and spend evenings cooking out and sitting on their screened porch, enjoying the scenery. He loved helping friends and family with projects around their homes, and carried his tools everywhere with him. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ann Mae Graham; and brother, John Graham, II. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Astra Graham; brother, Roger Graham of Maysville, GA; sisters, Pauline Bordt of Lawrenceburg, TN, Edyth Aukerman of McDonough, GA, Amanda Hyde of Blue Ridge GA; nieces, Tanya Bartelt, Kris Evans, Samantha Aukerman; and nephews, John Graham, III, Raymond Evans, and little Rodney Hyde. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. A memorial service will be held in Blue Ridge at a later date.
