Jim Dangar

December 26, 1943 — June 6, 2007

James Ivan (Jim) Dangar, 63, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 6th, 2007. He will be remembered as a loving husband, nurturing father and grandfather, devoted Christian and loyal friend. He loved golfing at the Atlanta Athletic Club, cheering for Georgia Tech sports, picking stocks, playing with his grandchildren and relaxing in his mountain home. Jim worked for Law Engineering for 40 years, including several years of consulting after his retirement. He was a long time active member of Briarlake Baptist Church and a member of the Atlanta Rotary (Downtown). He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 41 years, Bobbi of Atlanta; his mother, Evelyn Dangar, of Canton; his son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Jennifer Dangar of Atlanta; his daughter, Jamie Hartman of Suwanee; his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Richie Andrews of Augusta; his sister, Linda Porter and family; and brother Byron Dangar and family, both of Canton; his brother, Greg Dangar and family of Woodstock; his grandchildren whom he cherished so deeply, Hilton and Grace Dangar and Abby Hartman; and his many relatives and friends who meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his father Oscar Dangar of Canton. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. A visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, June 8th from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. Flowers will be accepted as well as donations in memory of Jim Dangar, grandfather of Abby Hartman, to Spectrum, Gwinnett County Autism Support Group at PO Box 502, Grayson, GA 30017. A. S.
