Jim Johnston

Mr. James Hugh (Jim) Johnston, Sr., age 84, of Decatur, GA died Thursday, July 28, 2004.   He was a veteran of World War II, and a life member of the Atlanta City Sales Club. He was also a member of Decatur First United Methodist Church and the Knox-Peabody Sunday School class.  In 1956 he became president of Baker Pools, Inc. and later was president of Swimming Pools by Jim Johnston, Inc., until his retirement several years ago.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn.  Other survivors include his sons, Jimmy Johnston and his wife, Jessica of Snellville, GA, Greg Johnston of Decatur, GA; sister, Betty Daniel of Decatur, GA; sister-in-law, Anne and Ralph Barnard of Long Beach, CA; grandsons, Ian, Seth, and Corey Johnston; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3rd at Decatur First United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow at Decatur Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
