Mr. Jimmy D. Nash, age 70, a lifelong resident of Tucker, GA passed away on Tuesday morning, October 12, 2004 after a prolonged battle with lung cancer. He was a graduate of Tucker High School, class of 1954. Mr. Nash was a respected land developer and builder for 44 years. He was a member and past officer of Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association and an avid collector of antique automobiles. His sense of humor and love for people touched the lives of all that knew him. He was a loving father and devoted husband, whose zest for life will be missed. Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his son, David Nash and brother, W. H. Nash. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, June C. Nash of Tucker, GA; two sons, Danny Nash and his wife, Karen of Buford, GA, Dennis Nash and his wife, Lisa of Flowery Branch, GA; four grandchildren, Kaylee Nash, Connor Nash, Ben Nash, and Branson Nash; three sisters, Pearl Davis of Decatur, GA, Evelyn Barclay of Decatur, GA, Bernice Griffin of Flowery Branch, GA; two brothers, Raymond Nash of Stone Mountain, GA, and Doug Nash of Lawrenceville, GA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 15th at Briarlake Baptist Church. Dr. J. Hoffman Harris will officiate. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to The March of Dimes, the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
