Jimmy Redding Bridges, Jr.

January 10, 1960 — February 13, 2020

BRIDGES, Jr., Jimmy Redding Age 60, of Atlanta Georgia passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020. He was born on January 10, 1960 at Georgia Baptist hospital in Atlanta Georgia, son of Jimmy Sr. and JoAnn Bridges. Jimmy is survived by his wife Sarah Elizabeth, daughter Marley Elizabeth, son Sawyer Redding, sister Doris "Dottie" Bridges Koster, and his parents.
Jimmy is a graduate of Campbell University and received an MBA from Babson College. He was employed by Xerox for the last 15 years where he was instrumental in providing the first managed print technology to the Department of Defense.
Some great memories with Jimmy. Don't ever play darts or ping pong against him and expect to win - you won't. If you are in any city across the country Jimmy knows exactly where to go for dinner. He will drive 12 hours straight without turning on the radio. Camping trips with his dad and family. Friday nights with Sarah at the pool table. But the best memories are his stories meeting and eventually marrying his beautiful wife Sarah and the births of his two children (there is a didgeridoo that starts the story). And so proud of Marley and Sawyer's accomplishments in robotics, ballet, and tap dancing. Very proud husband, father, and friend.
Jimmy maintained a Top Secret clearance with the United States Air Force and supported Department of Defense agencies including the Pentagon, Washington D.C. as a highly regarded member of the Xerox team. He is missed for his big laugh, long road trips, and the companionship with his family and close friends. We miss you Jimmy.

Services will be held at a later date at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory, 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA.
