Joan Elinor Vining Lazarchik, 81, of Atlanta, beloved mother, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Born April 2, 1936, in Brockton, Massachusets, she was the daughter of the late Roger N. and Sybil A. Lindquist Vining. After graduating high school, Joan enlisted and served in the U.S. Air Force. She enjoyed music, singing, crossword puzzles, nature, spending time with her friends at Wesley Woods. Joan was creative in all aspects of her life. She will be lovingly remembered for her Swedish traditional cooking specialties.
She is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Ann Marks and her husband, Larry, Joy Lynn Chennault and her husband, Tom, and Michelle Marie Bright and her husband, Patrick; brother, Roger Vining and his wife, Jeanne; two grandsons, John James Marks and his wife, Stacy, and Joshua Thomas Punchur and his wife, Jenna Holzberg; granddaughter, Sydney Elizabeth Bright; great grandson, Austin Lee Marks; great granddaughter, Zosia Danese Holzberg-Punchur; nephews, Dan Vining and his wife, Paula, and Russell Vining and his wife, Toi; nieces, Sherri Eubanks and Christine Roberts and her husband, Shane; great nieces and nephews; and many more loving family and friends.
A celebration of Joan's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, at the home of Michelle Bright.
