Joan Evans Goss of Decatur, GA peacefully passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. She was born on June 7, 1935 in Decatur to Thomas and Vera Evans. She was a devoted wife and loving mother with a generous heart. She graduated from the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing and worked most of her life as a registered nurse. She was a godly woman who served faithfully in each church she attended. Mrs. Goss is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years Horace Goss, and survived by daughters Victoria and husband Frank Trammell of Covington GA, Karen and husband Steve Scudder of Bluffton SC, sons Richard of Decatur GA, Joe and wife Linda Goss of Norcross, GA, sister Rita Rowell of Social Circle, GA and 9 fantastic grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday August 27, 2014 at 1PM in the Chapel of A.S Turner and Sons with Rev. Mike Blevins officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 26 from 5:00-8:00PM. "Our mother and father are united again never more to part." (Thanks Aunt Sara)
