Mr. Joe W. Fain, 85, of Decatur, died Thursday, June 10, 2010. A native of Woodstock, GA, Mr. Fain was a 1942 graduate of Canton High School. He was a graduate of the Los Angeles Art Center and a 1953 graduate of UCLA. Mr. Fain served his country during World War II in the U. S. Navy. He worked for WSB-TV, Emory University, NFL Films and the Georgia Department of Human Resources, where he retired. He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker for 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Joann Strickland Fain; daughter and son-in-law, Leann and Glenn Goulding of Lawrenceville; son, Michael S. Fain of Decatur; four granddaughters which he called his “Four Angels”, Erika Queen and her husband, Kevin, Kelli Fain, Alexandria Goulding, Sydney Goulding; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Bob Smith and Rev. Jon Langford officiating. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
