Johanne Sorensen Dalbo

Johanne Sorensen Dalbo, 82, of Atlanta, formerly of DeLand, FL died April 23, 2014. She was born in Palatka, FL, the daughter of the late Emil and Ruth Dalbo. She served in the Air Force and graduated from Stetson University. After moving to Atlanta in 1965, she taught in the Gwinnett County School System, retiring from Norcross Elementary in 1989. Jo enjoyed her retirement taking up wood carving, learning to play the piano playing cards and traveling. Johanne is survived by her sister Priscilla Reynolds of Tampa, FL; sister in law Lorraine Dalbo of Duluth; nephew, David Dalbo (Diane) of Atlanta; niece, Deborah Terry (Rob) of Duluth; great nieces Ansley Dalbo (Fred) of Atlanta and Raegan Dalbo (John) of Winston-Salem, NC; great nephew Austin Dalbo of Indianapolis, Indiana; great, great nephew Ty Senior of Winston Salem, NC and great, great niece Dori Senior of Winston Salem, NC. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday May 10th in the chapel of Shallowford Presbyterian Church.
