John A. Liles

John A. Liles, 90, of Atlanta died Sunday, May 3, 2009.  A native of Fitzgerald, GA, he was son of the late Mr. Thomas Hilliard Liles and Mrs. Mary Matthews Liles.  Mr. Liles was a veteran of WWII and a graduate of the University of Georgia – Atlanta in 1951. He was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Decatur.  Preceded in death by his son, James G. Liles, surviving are his wife of 61 years, Jane Liles; son, John T. Liles of Decatur; and sister, Tommie Liles of Atlanta.  Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 6th at 2:00 PM at the Pavilion at King’s Bridge Retirement Center with the Reverend Dr. James L. Brewer-Calvert and Reverend Greg Smith officiating.  Inurnment will take place at Crest Lawn Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Drive, Atlanta, GA 30319 or the First Christian Church of Decatur, 601 W Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030.  A. S.
