John Forrest Palmer, 55, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2021. He is one of three sons to Janice and Carl Palmer and born May 17, 1965.
He is survived by his wife Donna Palmer, son Matthew Palmer , mother Janice Gleason (Clif), brothers Doug Palmer of Cleveland, GA, and Joel Palmer (Meredith) of Flowery Branch, GA. He was proceeded in death by his father, Carl and survived by Janet Palmer(wife). John also has several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
John graduated from Henderson High School in DeKalb County, GA in 1984. He went on to study photography at the Atlanta Art Institute in Atlanta, and earned a Degree in Business from Georgia College in Milledgeville, Ga. He was employed by the US Dept of Labor as a Compliance Officer having served there for 28 years.
With the many challenges John faced in life, he persevered through every situation, did not complain, and leaves ever-lasting positive memories that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
John was known by many as an avid Auburn football fan. He would be seen often wearing his Auburn hat and other Auburn attire. He also spent time coaching his son’s soccer team.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur, Ga, with a funeral service following the visitation (masks required).
