John Gordon Bibb

John Gordon Bibb, beloved son of Ann Early Bibb and William Bibb, left us on December 13, 2015 after too brief a stay. He was born March 15, 1988 in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in Decatur. He is survived by his parents, brother Robert Bibb, sister-in-law Audrey Bibb and nephews Ian and Austin Bibb. He attended City Schools of Decatur and in 2006 graduated from Decatur High School where he was on the JROTC state champion Raiders team and lettered in wrestling. He excelled in math and was the City Schools of Decatur System-wide math student of 2006. He earned his Eagle Scout at Troop 175. John went on to attend Georgia Institute of Technology where he studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. John loved his pets, his friends, snow, and games of all sorts. He liked being with his friends whether it was biking across Georgia (BRAG), backpacking in New Mexico, snowboarding or playing video games. He had a good sense of humor - if you were lucky enough to see it. Our hearts are broken, but he is at peace now. He is missed but will always be with us. A Memorial service will be held at the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons in Decatur Sunday, December 27 at 3:00PM with visitation at 2:00.
