John Lewis Williams, Jr.

Mr. John Lewis Williams, Jr. age 64 of Lithonia passed away on December 17, 2022 from a series of recent illnesses.  He was born on March 29, 1958 to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis Williams and Lois Allen Williams.  He attended Newton County High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1976.  Upon graduation, he joined the United States Navy and served his country from 1976 - 1980.  After serving in the Navy, John worked tirelessly for the Internal Revenue Service from 1983 - 2018.  Mr. Williams was an avid chess player that taught chess and played every day.   John had an extensive knowledge and love of all music.

He leaves behind to cherish his passing a devoted wife, Lolali Williams; step daughter, Pamela Saripada; mother-in-law, Paloma Saripada; two sisters, Mrs. Claudia (Edward) Williams-Ridley and Jane Williams; brother, Willie Williams; sister-in- law, Lowella Allen and brother-in-law,Gray Allen; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 5:00 pm in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 3-5pm at the funeral home.  A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
