Rawlins, John Morris, age 75, of Clarkston died Wednesday, August 13, 2008, after a valiant 4 year battle with cancer. He was a graduate of ClarkstonHigh School and attended GeorgiaStateUniversity. He served 25 years as councilman for the City of Clarkston and also as vice mayor. He was an avid sports enthusiast and coached pony league baseball teams. Mr. Rawlins was baptized four years ago as a Jehovah’s Witness and he served Jehovah faithfully until the end of his life. He was loved and respected in his community and everyone knew him as a man of utmost integrity. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Rawlins; brother, Charles M. & Ruie Rawlins of Loganville, GA; two nephews; five nieces; two great nephews and two great nieces. Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 3346 Rockbridge Rd., Avondale Estates Saturday, August 16 at 2:00 P.M.
