John Munagian, age 92, died on May 20, 2016, in Atlanta, Georgia. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. John is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lorraine; his daughter, Nora Munagian and son-in-law, Mark Norton of Avondale Estates, Georgia, his daughter, Marion Munagian and son-in-law, Rick DuPlanty of East Troy, Wisconsin, and his daughter, Jane Munagian and son-in-law, Dorian Adam of Bend, Oregon; his four grandchildren, Jaimeson Adam, John Norton, Julia Norton and Parker Adam; and his sister, Mary Robinson and brother-in-law, Rob Robinson. He was preceded in death by his son, Peter Munagian and sister, Eleanore Stuart. John was born on January 4, 1924 in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents Martin and Nora Munagian. Following John's service in the United States Navy in World War Two, he began a 45-year career with Cooper Lighting Corporation. Friends are welcome Thursday, May 26 from 6-8 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons in Decatur, GA. A mass is scheduled for Friday, May 27 at 10 am at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Decatur, GA with a reception to follow at the church.
