John R. Blackstock, 73, of Ellijay, passed away October 23, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn A. Blackstock; daughters, Cheryl L. Teague of Ellijay, and Johannah E. Kimbley of Fayetteville; sister and brother-in-law, Ilean and Jim Cornell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hubert and Peggy Blackstock, Herbert and Freida Blackstock, Jimmy and Roxanne Blackstock; grandchildren, T’Jay Teague, Brandy Landrum, Jena Teague, Joseph Teague, Jody Landrum; great grandchildren; Preston, Alissa, Pierah and Laylah. A Masonic graveside service, conducted by Mountain Park Lodge 729, F&AM, will be held 1:00 P.M., Sunday, October 26th, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made be made in honor of John Blackstock to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, BLD 400, STE 300, 3715 Northside Pkwy, Atlanta GA 30327. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
