John R. Crenshaw

Mr. John R. Crenshaw, age 84, of Atlanta passed away October 17, 2010. He was the son of the late Margaret and John Crenshaw of Meridian, MS. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and A.B. Crenshaw. Mr. Crenshaw is survived by his wife of 55 years, Billie Sherrill Crenshaw; son, Kent Crenshaw of Seattle, WA; daughter, Marsha Crenshaw of Atlanta; son, Brian Crenshaw of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and one brother, Dal Crenshaw of Biloxi, MS. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway Company. Mr. Crenshaw was a graduate of the University of Alabama and served his country in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of Druid Hills United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 19th at A. S. Turner & Sons. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20th with Rev. Rex Kaney officiating.
