John Robert Cook

John Robert Cook of Decatur died peacefully on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at the age of 99. Born on July 9, 1917, John was the son of the late Bessie and John Cook. He married Charlotte Guest with whom he had one daughter. He was a long time member of North Decatur United Methodist Church where he spent many happy years ushering on Sunday mornings.

John is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Ross Cox of Alpharetta and his four grandchildren, Kristen Cox Watford and her husband, Dave; Nathan Cox and his wife, Mary; Travis Cox and his wife Rachel; and Courtney Cox Daniel and her husband Logan as well as 3 great grandchildren, John David and Madison Watford and Alex Cox.

John is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 56 years, Charlotte, as well as his brothers, Gerald and Milton Cook.

Graveside services for John were held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA.
