John McLendon, age 55, of McDonough, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 6, 2018. John was a hardworking craftsman and custom cabinet maker who loved owning his own business. He enjoyed the outdoors, where deer, turkey, and dove hunting were among his favorite pastimes, and NASCAR racing. He will be terribly missed by his loved ones, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Lester and Genevieve McLendon, his sister, Leslie Cheatham, and numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his dear companion, Michelle Cronin, his brothers and sisters, Lester McLendon Jr. (Bucky) of Conyers, David McLendon of Decatur, Eve Peacock of College Station, Texas, and Louann McLendon of Decatur, along with six nephews, one niece, a great-niece, two great-nephews and a granddaughter of his heart.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, December 15th from 2-3 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home at 2773. N. Decatur Road, Decatur, Georgia.
