John William Bedford, 90, of Kennesaw passed away on Tuesday March 25, 2014. Mr. Bedford was awarded the Purple Heart as he proudly served his country during World War II serving in the Army and was the past Commander of American Legion Post 207 in Tucker. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Elizabeth Bedford; daughter, Cherrie and Richard Bowling, granddaughters, Tammy and Josh Payne and Michelle Bowling; grandson, Bryan Bowling and great-grandson, Mason Williams. Funeral services for Mr. Bedford will be at 1:00 pm Friday March 28th in the chapel of A. S. Turner with Rev. Chris Bowling officiating with interment in Stone Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 27 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
