John William (Bill) Goddard

Mr. John William 'Bill' Goddard, age 79 of Atlanta, died Sunday, May, 22, 2011. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Emory University and spent his career working for the family business that his father developed, Speed Check Conveyor Co. Bill was a devoted family man, avid tennis player and a very active member of Northside Drive Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue Goddard; sons, John Walker Goddard and Alan Ross Goddard and wife, Karen; daughter, Laura Goddard Smith and husband, Herman; grandchildren, Eric McClain, Jordan, Hannah and Sara Smith and Elizabeth Goddard; and brother, Ross M. Goddard. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Northside Drive Baptist Church 3100 Northside Drive, N.W. Atlanta, GA 30305. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
