Jonathan Colby Stanton

Jonathan Stanton, 30, of Decatur, Georgia passed away on September 29, 2020. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 3, 2020 at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home. Fr. Mark Horak from St. Thomas More Catholic Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 3, 2020 at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home. Jonathan Stanton was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 12, 1990. He graduated from St. Pius X Catholic High School. When Jonathan wasn’t spending time with his family, friends and dog “Gigi” he was hunting and living out his dream of becoming a professional fisherman. He had a love for the great outdoors which was inspired by his father Tony. Jonathan will be forever remembered as a caring and loving son, brother and devoted friend. Jonathan Stanton is survived by his mother, Donna Stanton, and sister, Elissa Stanton, and other family and friends. Jonathan Stanton is proceeded in death by his father, Anthony “Tony” Stanton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation. A non profit organization that brings fishing to kids with special needs, urban communities and military families. The family of Jonathan Stanton wishes to thank his family and friends.
