Joseph "Joe" Ernest Kingston, Sr. (1941-2023)

Joseph "Joe" Ernest Kingston, Sr., 82, of Decatur, GA, passed away on October 17, 2023.

He was born in the Panama Canal Zone in 1941 to Imelda Casey Kingston and Jarvis Rowland Kingston. He lived many places throughout the United States during his childhood and youth, from Connecticut to California. Joe earned a Bachelor of Science from St. Bernard College in Cullman, Alabama, where he met his future wife, Melanie. Joe served in the United States Marine Corps before embarking on a lifetime career in information technology.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his wife, Melanie Hamby Kingston, his children Joe Kingston, Jr. (Pam), Amy Walborn (George), Colleen Kingston, his grandchildren Reese Kingston, Avery Kingston, Melanie Walborn, and Amelia Walborn.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 4:00 PM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 435 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. A reception will be held in the church parish hall immediately following the service.
