Joseph Harold Davis

Mr. Joseph Harold Davis, 86, of Decatur died Monday, February 18, 2008.  He was born in Stephens County, and lived his early years in Vienna, Georgia.  Mr. Davis served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1941until 1945 in the Pacific Theatre.  Afterwards, he came to Decatur and became a Manufacturing Representative for several companies.  Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years, Edith Pope Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Leasa Davis Segura and Henry Segura; grandsons, Joshua Davis Segura and Collin Davis Segura; sister, Catherine Davis Green; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 21st at eleven o'clock at A. S. Turner & Sons.  Interment will follow at Decatur Cemetery.  For those desiring in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alert Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church of Decatur.  The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from three until five o'clock at A. S. Turner & Sons.
