Joseph Ian Abbott

Joseph Ian Abbott, of Tucker, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2018. Ian was born on May 22, 1979 in Austell, GA to Joseph and Patricia Abbott. Ian attended East Paulding High School. After high school Ian served as a Specialist in the Army from 1997 through 2001.

Ian loved watching movies and telling stories. He had a soft spot for animals of any kind and rescued everything from dogs and cats, to turtles and squirrels. Above all, though, Ian loved his family and adored spending time with his children.

Ian is survived by his wife Laura Johnson Abbott; his mother and father Patricia and Joseph Abbott; his brother, Sean, as well as his son Joseph Anthony (Tony) and his daughter Isabella Abbott.

A celebration of Ian’s life will take place on Friday, February 16 at 2pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home at 2773 N. Decatur Road Decatur, GA 30033.
