Josephine Eugenia Martin

Mrs. Josephine Eugenia Martin, 84, of Stone Mountain, GA peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. Born December 14, 1922, in Biloxi, MS to George and Almeda Duvic, Jo was raised in Baton Rouge, LA and graduated from Louisiana State University. Jo was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, George Motte Martin. She is also survived by her seven children: Ginger Westlund and her husband Jack of Kennesaw, GA; Betty Brown of Charlotte, NC; Ann Davis of Jackson, MS; Motte Martin and his wife Somsri of Oxford, GA; Becky Protopapadakis and her husband George of Lawrenceville, GA; Tommy Martin and his wife Charlotte of Suwanee, GA; Robbie Martin and his wife Nancy of Duluth, GA; nineteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Jo was a humble servant of the Lord. She was adored by her husband and greatly loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was always the most gracious hostess and found true joy in serving delicious dinners for her family and friends. Funeral arrangements will be under the care of A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home. A service celebrating the life of Josephine Eugenia Martin will be held at Decatur Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 1:00 PM with interment at Decatur Cemetery .In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Presbyterian Missions.
