Josephine Tillman Winters

June 5, 1931 — September 17, 2008

Mrs. Josephine Tillman Winters, of Decatur died Wednesday, September 17, 2008. She was born in Valdosta, GA and raised in Blackshear, GA. Mrs. Winters was a bookkeeper for many years and a former member of the Women of Motion Picture Industries, Business Professional Women’s Club and the High Jinx Club. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Pete Kirby. Mrs. Winters is survived by her husband of 46 years Jim Winters; three daughters, Auneca Kirby and Omega Hedgepeth of Alpharetta, GA, Dauna Winters-Prewett of Lawrenceville, GA; seven grandchildren, Matt Kirby of Alpharetta, GA, Jimmy Winters of Kennesaw, GA, Joey Winters of Alpharetta, GA, Zack Hedgepeth and Abbey Hedgepeth of Alpharetta, GA, Crystal Prewett and Kevin Prewett of Lawrenceville, GA; and one great grandson, Austin Kirby of Alpharetta, GA. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 20^th at 2:30 P.M. at FloralHillsMemoryGardens with Rev. Tamara Tillman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 P.M. Friday and 10 A.M. – 12 P.M. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
