Joyce Ann Chatfield

Joyce Ann Chatfield passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 12, 2013. She is survived by daughter, Joy Manbeck and her husband Bud; daughter, Patsy Kay Shook and her husband Al; son, Brad Cavender and his wife, Christie; and son, Kevin Chatfield and his wife, Tammy. She was a wonderful, loving mother of four children, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Joyce was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1931 and graduated from O'Keefe High School class in 1949. Joyce was a loyal employee of Holiday Inn for 25 years, serving in a number of management positions. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Ellenwood, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 984 Panola Road, Ellenwood, Georgia 30294, or the United Methodist Children's Home located at 500 S. Columbia Dr., Decatur, Ga. 30030. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at A.S. Turner and Son Chapel in Decatur, Ga. at 11:00 am. The family will welcome visitors beginning at 10:00 am. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst in song for you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. ( Isaiah 55:12)
