Joyce Cornelia Bradford

Joyce Cornelia Scarbrough Bradford, 84, of Augusta, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Monday, May 14, 2018. Born July 12, 1933 in Atlanta, GA she was the daughter of the late Morris Herald and Emma Lee Gibbs Scarbrough. Mrs. Bradford was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Marie Bruyninckx and her husband, David, of Grovetown, Loren Bradford and his wife, Linda, of Monroe, Terry Oropeza and her husband, Mark, of Hamilton, and Marla Parker of Covington; eight grandchildren: Joey and Russell Bruyninckx, Nicole Huff, Jessica Craven, Craig Parker, Rene Patterson, and Christopher and Andrew Oropeza; eighteen great grandchildren: Tanner, Trent, Tucker, Grant and Charlie Bruyninckx, Hannah and William Huff, Angie, Amy, Samuel, Silas, Soloman, and Ada Craven, Michael, Cayden and Ethan Parker, and Sophie Patterson; sister, Betty Pickens; brother, Charles Scarbrough; and many more loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Douglas Bradford; son, Doyle Bradford; and grandson, Jeffrey Parker.

The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. with services to follow at 12 noon in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Melwood Cemetery.
