Joyce Garmon

Joyce Ann Garmon of Decatur, GA was born on Oct 3, 1939, and entered into rest on February 8, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Ethel Garmon of Scottdale, GA.

After graduating from Clarkston High School, Joyce went to work for and eventually retired from DeKalb Medical Center. She was also a dedicated member and Sunday School teacher at County Line Baptist Church.

She is survived by several cousins including Frankie Baldwin, Maragret Tamson, Jenny (Garmon) Coker, Shirley (Garmon) Hall, and Paul Garmon. She is also survived by the many souls she touched during her life.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday February 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory, 2773 N. Decatur Rd Decatur, GA 30033. Funeral Services for Miss Garmon will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery.
