Judith Ann Nelson Buford

Judith Ann Nelson Buford, 79, of Decatur, beloved wife and mother, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019. Born March 21, 1940, in Birmingham, AL, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Kathline Murray Nelson.

Along with being an accomplished homemaker, Judith was also an artist and a writer. Her artistic endeavors included painting, sculpting and calligraphy. Her writing accomplishments included published poetry, art gallery reviews and a humor column in her home town newspaper.

Judith is survived by her son, Mark Buford, and her daughter, Patricia Anders.

In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Gordon Buford.
