Julia Lee Davis

Julia Lee Davis, 88, of Avondale Estates, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 24, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol Davis. Julia is survived by two sons, Gary Stephen Davis (Jonna-Kay) of Waxhaw, N.C. and Alan Lee Davis (Sally) of Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren Stephen, Caroline, Julia, Sarah and Mary Davis. She is also survived by a sister, Hilda Rahn, of Rocky Ford, GA, and brother, Joshua Lee of Richmond Hill, GA. Julia was a proud resident of Avondale Estates for 45 years and an active member of Columbia Presbyterian Church, Avondale Community Club and Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, her Golden Girl group, and spending time with her grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 26th from 7-9 pm at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA, 30033. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 27, at Columbia Presbyterian Church, Reverend Tom Hagood officiating. Graveside service will follow on Thursday, October 28, at 2:00 pm at Screven Memorial Park in Sylvania, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Columbia Presbyterian Church, 711 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA, 30030.
