Julian Lee Crook

Julian L. Crook, 97, of Kennesaw, GA died Sunday, October 24, 2010. Born in Senoia, GA, he graduated from Berry College in 1937, where he was Editor of the Yearbook. He worked for Southern Bell for 41 years only broken by service in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Crook was manager in Albany, GA, district manager in Florence, SC, Management Training Supervisor in Columbia, SC and Athens, GA, and Forecast Manager and District Manager in Atlanta. He was a member of Rotary and the Berry College Alumni Association. After his retirement he volunteered with SCORE for 15 years and was Chair of the Atlanta Chapter. He was President of the Mason Mill Civic Club. He was a member of Decatur Presbyterian Church for many years where he served as Deacon, Secretary of the Diaconate, and President of the Men's Bible Class. At the time of his death he was a member of the Shallowford Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his daughters, Lucylle Shelton of Marietta and Julie Seitz of Alpharetta, and a son, Jim Crook of Douglasville. He has 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. It is requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Julian L. Crook Scholarship Fund at Berry College, 2277 Martha Berry Hwy., N.W., Mt. Berry, GA 30149-9707. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 29th at 11:00 A.M. at Arlington Memorial Park with Elder Jane Hubbard officiating. A. S. Turner & Sons
