Julius Durand Peek

Julius Durand Peek, Jr, 84, of Decatur passed away on Friday December 28, 2012. Born and raised in Decatur, Mr. Peek was retired from The Walsh Co., a restaurant supply company, with 42 years of service. Mr. Peek was a Mason and was a member of Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church. Mr. Peek was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Madge Winter Peek in 2011, and is survived by his niece, Candace Denison and her husband, Joe of Opelika, AL; nephews, Donald W. Harwell and his wife, Wynona of Mt. Juliet, TN; and Marvin R. Winter and his wife, Holly of Atlanta. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons at 2:00 pm on Wednesday January 2, 2013 with Rev Tara Paul officiating. Interment will follow in Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday Jan. 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
