June Beckham Wagner, 90, of Decatur Georgia, passed away on Thursday April 10, 2014 at 1:30 AM. June was born in Decatur in 1923 where she lived most of her life, with the exception of a brief time in Miami, Florida. June graduated from Oakhurst Elementary School, Decatur Girls High School and was a proud graduate of Agnes Scott College. She often told people she walked to elementary school, high school and college. She was predeceased by her parents, Ted and Ethel Lanier, her first husband and the father of her three children, Charles Marshall Beckham, in 1952 and her second husband, James R. Wagner, in 2010, to whom she was married for 52 years. She was also predeceased by her grandson, John Beckham, and her stepson, James W Wagner. June is survived by her three children and stepdaughter: Dianne Parnell and her husband, Gus of Farmingdale, NJ, Charlie Beckham and his wife Martha, of Atlanta, John Beckham of Lilburn and her stepdaughter Peggy Isaacs and her husband Don of Lawrenceville, Ga. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara McGee of Orlando, FL. She was a beloved Mema to her thirteen surviving grandchildren and her 16 surviving great grandchildren and she was a loving, devoted aunt to her niece and nephews. June was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved to play the piano, enjoyed competitive tennis, her weekly bridge games, walking the dog, and trips to Hilton Head, SC. She was a member of the DeKalb County Junior League, past President of Druid Hills High School PTA and an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Atlanta for over 50 years.She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in June's memory to Agnes Scott College, Decatur, Ga. A memorial service will be held in June's honor at All Saints Episcopal Church, 634 West Peachtree Street, NW, Atlanta, Ga. 30308 on Tuesday, April, 15 2014 at 2:00 PM
