June 6, 1918 — December 22, 2018

Mrs. June Scoggins Smith,100, of Clarkston, GA passed away on Saturday , December 22, 2018. She was the youngest child of Matthew I. and Jennette Beck Scoggins. June was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm C. Smith. She was also preceded in death by her 8 brothers and sisters. June is survived by her nieces and nephew, Libby (Larry) McAmish of Flowery Branch, GA, Bill (Mayra) Robertson of Atlanta, Kitty (Bill) Thomas of Athens and Connie Robertson of Atlanta. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. June retired from Fritzsche Brothers Inc. June grew up in the Cabbagetown neighborhood of Atlanta and attended Immanuel Baptist Church there for 85 years. She taught the 6-8 year old girls in Sunday School for over 45 years. June was most recently associated with Scott Boulevard Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at A. S. Turner Funeral Home on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 4-7 pm. Graveside services will be at Melwood Cemetery on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 2:30 pm, Reverend Greg Smith and Reverend Sara Robb-Scott will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Scott Boulevard Baptist Church, 308 Clairmont Ave, Decatur, GA 30030, or to The American Kidney Foundation. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
