Kate Tuck Vanek, formerly of Loganville, passed into her Heavenly home on March 10th while a resident of Remington House in Conyers, GA. She began her career with Southern Bell and progressed through the changes to Bell South, retiring from AT&T with over 40 years of service. She played on the softball team as a proud member of the Pioneers at AT&T. Kate's other favorite life activities included high school basketball, jitterbug dancing, and gardening; though, her all time favorite activity was shopping with friends.
Kate was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Vanek; parents, Berlin E. and Annie Lou Tuck; sisters, Oarveline Tuck Anderson and Frances Tuck Pate; and brother, Frederick E. Tuck. She is survived by her sister, Dianne Tuck Pyles, brother-in-law, Wayne Pyles, and several nieces and nephews.
Kate will be missed and forever loved as a great daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
A special "Thank you" goes to the "special angels" among us, Mona and her staff of care givers that lovingly cared for Kate during her difficult times, and to Tender Touch Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Healthcare of Atlanta Children's Hospital.
"Goodbye dear sister, I love you and will see you again." - Dianne
