Katherine Jaynes

January 18, 1920 — March 7, 2010

Mrs. Katherine Doris (Kate) Jaynes, age 90, of East Atlanta, died at her home on Wednesday, March 3, 2010. She was born in Pelham, Georgia on January 18, 1920 to Arthur and Leona Taylor. Mrs. Jaynes grew up, married and raised her family in East Atlanta, attending and serving MorelandAvenueBaptistChurch faithfully. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas H. (Bill) Jaynes. Mrs. Jaynes is survived by her children, Kathy Beauchamp and Andy Jaynes of Gainesville; sister, Ellen Leathers; brothers, Stanley Taylor and Larry Taylor; five grandchildren and their spouses; and three great grandchildren. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 8, 2010 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Pallbearers please assemble by 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at FairviewMemorialGardens in Stockbridge. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons, 2773 North Decatur Rd., (404-292-1551).
