Kathleen Crosby Kelley (Kay), born May 10, 1924, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2018 with her three sons by her side. Kay lived in Decatur, GA and was a lifetime member of Decatur First Methodist Church. She graduated from Moultrie High School and Grady Hospital School of Nursing. After nursing, Kay devoted her time to raising a family. She later opened a dress shop and continued her hobbies of golf, painting, floral arranging, and stained glass design. She participated in many volunteer programs including the Methodist Children’s Home. She loved spending time at their second home at Lake Hartwell. After a decline in health, Kay relocated to Albany, GA to be close to her children.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband Walter, her son William Arlington, Jr., and her five brothers and sisters. Surviving family includes her three sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Brooke, Michael and Nancy, Pat and Margarette; six grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, Patrick, Courtney, Joseph, and Michael; seven great-grandchildren; and many more loving family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 16 at 11:00 a.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a graveside service following the memorial.
