Mrs. Kathryn M. Johnson of Stone Mountain died Wednesday, January 26, 2005. She was a member of the Decatur First United Methodist Church and past president of the women's organization. Mrs. Johnson taught at Avondale Elementary School for 15 years and was the owner of Kay's Ceramics in Avondale. She was also a member of the P.E.O. She is survived by her husband, Mr. J. Paul Johnson of Stone Mountain; daughter, Mary Helen Johnson and her husband, Marvin of Cumming; sons, Dayton Johnson and his wife, Maripat of Alpharetta, Bill Johnson and his wife, Bunny of St. Simons Island; brother, Dayton S. Mak and his wife, Julie of Washington, DC; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one niece. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. David S. Naglee officiating. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
