Kenneth Eugene Hall

December 5, 1949 — December 28, 2017

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, sibling and friend, Kenneth Eugene Hall, who died on December 28th, 2017 after a nine-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Kenneth Eugene Hall was born in Annapolis, Maryland on December 5th, 1949. He moved to Sarasota, Florida with his family in 1966. In Sarasota, as a junior at Riverview High school, he met his wife of 45 years, Janet Hall. After high school, Kenny served two years in the US Army during the Vietnam War era. Upon his return, Kenny and Janet raised two children and started a successful plumbing company, Gulf-to-Bay Plumbing, which they operated until 2012. During his years as a business owner, Kenny served as a mentor to many young plumbers, including his own son, and was elected as President of the Sarasota County PHCC. He was also an active member of the Sarasota Freemason’s group, and his friends will remember him as a founding member of the “Sand’s Point Yacht Club.”

Kenny is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Janet Hall, his son, Jonathan Hall, daughter-in-law Jennifer, and grandchildren Meg and Nat, as well as his daughter Angela Christie, son-in-law Eddie, and grandchildren Eleanor, Olive, and Adrian. Kenny also leaves behind two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Peggy Hall and Danny Hall and Peggy Walker, as well as extended family including Aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother William Howard Hall and his mother and father, Roy C. and Dorothy Hall. Beyond his family, Kenny leaves behind countless friends and others who he has inspired with his work ethic and generosity of spirit.

A celebration of life service will be held in Sarasota, Florida in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
