Kenneth Freeman passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Northside Hospital of a massive stroke. He was born July 6, 1929 at Benham, KY,
the son of the late Donald and Ila Freeman. Also preceding him in death was a sister Eleanor Freeman. Kenneth was a graduate of Logan High School in 1948. He worked for Randall Brothers, Inc. in Atlanta, GA for 47 years and retired as Vice President in 1997. He was a Girl Scout leader for his daughters and a Boy Scout leader for his son. He has been an active member of Skyland Methodist Church for over 40 years. He loved working in his garden and most of all loved being with his family. Kenneth married his high school sweetheart, Geraldine Dobbins Freeman and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage. He is survived by two daughters, Kim (Phil) McLemore and Terri Lynn (Keith) Ellis, and one son, Marshall (Becky) Freeman, Jr., eight grandchildren; Shannen (Michael) Kozlowski, Liann (Chris) Walker, April (Inman) Houston, Rebecca (Travis) Carter, Gordon (Chisa) McLemore, Stephanie (Troy) Earnest, Tripp Freeman, and Brandon (Audrey) Freeman and eleven great-grandchildren; Hannah, Ryley, Tess, Cammy, Buzz, Jacob, Ethan, Kaili, Drew, Logan, and Koyo. He is also survived by his brother, Gordon Freeman, Jr. and his sister, Linda Gore, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur, GA with Rev. John Freeland officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Decatur Cemetery immediately following the service.
