Kerry Elizabeth Guthrie

Kerry Elizabeth Guthrie, 44 years old, died Oct 7, 2011 at her home in Atlanta, GA. She is survived by her mother Pat Fugate, Sister Cindy Norris and Brother in law Jeff Norris and Brother Whitt Fugate and niece Lily Norris, residents of Tazewell TN and her beloved dogs Beau and Luke. A memorial service will be held at A.S. Turner & Sons in Decatur, GA. on October 15, 2011. The family will receive friends from 11am till 1pm, with a memorial service to follow at 1 pm. Dress attire for visitation and service in honor of Kerry, dungarees, boots and belt buckles welcomed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her favorite charity The Sunshine Kids Foundation, 2814 Virginia Street, Houston, TX 77098. A graveside service will be held in Tazewell, TN on October 16 at The Irish Cemetery at 3pm. Kerry was born December 3 1966 in Middlesboro KY and became a resident of Tazewell TN, her hometown in 1973. Kerry made Atlanta her home in 1991 and subsequently found her career in automotive repair. She became the owner of My Favorite Automotive, well known for honesty and quality workmanship. She became a local celebrity and conducted numerous interviews with local news papers and TV stations. Kerry's passions in life included the University Tennessee, particularly Pat Summit's basketball teams, car racing, country music and entertaining her friends at her home in Kirkwood. Kerry had a magnetic personality and people were drawn to her. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.
