Kevin Nicholas Fix died peacefully in his sleep at his home Sunday morning. He was 40. A visitation with the family is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. this Saturday with a memorial service to follow at A.S. Turner and Sons in Decatur, Georgia, which is in charge of arrangements. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Kevin was reared in Conroe, Texas where his talents and skill as a platform diver gained the attention of collegiate sport scouters nationwide. Kevin accepted a full athletic scholarship from the University of Georgia in Athens for which he won many honors and awards at Southeastern Conference Championships. After graduation, Kevin moved to Atlanta and then Charlotte before returning back to Atlanta to make it his home. Everywhere Kevin went he made countless friends. He was widely known and admired for his exuberant lust for life and his deep love for family and friends. By example, Kevin showed his friends and family how to live life to its fullest each and every day. Kevin is survived by his wife Blair Andrews Fix, his parents Frank and Melanie Fix of Comfort, Texas, his brother Darren Fix and his wife Leslie of Kalispell, Montana, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
