It is with great sadness that the family of Kimberly Struble-Hunt announces that she has lost her recent battle with cancer. Having survived childhood cancer, she had been in remission for 35 years when the cancer returned. While her spirit was determined to fight this last battle, her body was too weak. After graduation from Mercer University, she followed her passion, working with animals. She was employed by Clairmont Animal Hospital. A gifted artist, she enjoyed making jewelry out of "found objects". Her greatest joy was to be found in animal rescue, working with the childrens' shelter, and all things "Snoopy". She was preceded in death by her father, Hank Struble and is survived by husband, Roman Hunt; mother, Beverly Struble, sisters, Julie Overton, Ashley Struble, Debra Seabolt (Ken), Cathy Fuller (Tom);nephew, Charles Aitchison; aunt, Judy Lummus (Johnny); in-laws, Richard and Clara Hunt, sister-in law, Tamara Smith (Jay), Jason Hunt, and many loving cousins and friends. Please omit flowers, donations may be sent to the Kim Hunt Memorial Needy Pet Fund c/o Clairmont Animal Hospital, 1226 Clairmont Rd. Decatur GA 30030. Visitation will be held Sunday September 20 at 1:00 pm followed by memorial services at 2:00 pm in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons, Decatur GA.
