Lamar Dwight Kilgore

Mr. Lamar D. Kilgore, 74, of Stockbridge, passed away Monday, August 31, 2021. Lamar was a dedicated firefighter for the City of Decatur for many years, and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father Herschel H. Kilgore, mother Loretta J. Kilgore, sister Laverne Kilgore and brother Terry Kilgore, and is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Laurea and Scott Griggs of Newnan, GA, and sister-in-law, Dolly Kilgore of Alpharetta, GA. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 12 until 1 PM at A. S. Turner & Sons
