Larry Douglas Brown

The son of the late Larry G. Brown and Virginia (Barrett) Brown, Larry was born on October 14, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia and passed away on March 26, 2021 at his Ardmore, OK residence at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 12 days.

Larry had been a resident of the Healdton and Ardmore area for the past 40 plus years. He served in the United States Air Force receiving an Honorable Discharge, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Manual 900-3, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Larry started his lengthy career at Uniroyal where he retired as a tire builder with Michelin. In his leisure time he enjoyed watching football, spending time with the grandkids, and going back to Georgia to visit friends and family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Healdton.

He is survived by his son, DJ Brown and wife Karen ; grandchildren, Sadie, Sophie, Mollie and Henry Brown; brother, Mike Brown and Bill Benesh; former wife & best friend, Phyllis Brown; other extended family members in Georgia and friends in Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Larry Douglas Brown, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021 in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore, OK with Pastor Spence McConnell. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
