Laura A. Mangum

Laura A. Mangum, 91, of Decatur died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at her home in Sagamore Hills.  Mrs. Mangum was born May 28, 1916 in Bowman, GA to the late John Benson Olbon and Mammie A. Jordan Olbon.  She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and for many years she was a member of Peachtree Baptist Church. Mrs. Mangum is survived by her son, Ken Mangum and his wife Sophia of Canton; 5 grandchildren, Kevin Mangum of Tupelo, MS, David Mangum of Kennesaw, GA, Stacey Knudsen of Loganville, GA, Lisa Gray of Loganville, GA, and Spencer Mangum of Snellville, GA; 10 great grandchildren; and sister, Elton Daniels of Augusta, GA. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7th. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peachtree Baptist Church, 2108 Briarcliff Rd., NE, Atlanta, GA 30329. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 6th at A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA.
