Laura Emma Shubert Kelley went home to Heaven to be with her late husband David Franklin Kelley on February 25, 2022.
Born to Joseph Luther Shubert and Julia Myrtis Estelle Shubert on November 13, 1933 in Stone Mountain, Georgia, she is survived by her children David Franklin Kelley Jr and wife Charlotte Kelley, Katherine Lynn Houchin, Nancy Renee Barrentine, and late daughter Julia Alyson Stewart and husband Mickey Stewart. Additionally, her grandchildren Stephanie Kelley Dills and husband Chris Dills, David Franklin Kelley III, Michael Houchin, Preston Stewart and wife Angelica Stewart, Cody Barrentine and wife Kyrstyn Barrentine, Alyson Houchin, Justin Barrentine, Thomas Stewart, and great granddaughters Josie Dills and Lucy Dills. Laura is also survived by her brother Jeff Shubert and wife Joan Shubert, sister Barbara Anderson and husband Joe Anderson, and sister Diane Cross and husband Tommy Cross, and many other beloved family members.
Laura was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a strong and selfless woman, devoted to her faith and family. She had a love for life that was contagious and an elegance that was unmatched.
The viewing for Laura Kelley will be at A.S. Turner funeral home on Wednesday, March 2nd 2022 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm and the service will be immediately after.
